KILMOZ — 02

THE MEMORY OF STONE,
THE BREATH OF PATTERN.

KILMOZ is a contemporary art and research practice that reinterprets the patterns, rhythm, geometry and cultural memory of Anatolian kilims through mosaic surfaces made from natural stone and tesserae. It establishes not only a visual but also a structural relationship between the thread-built logic of weaving and the modular construction of mosaic. Motifs are not copied directly; they are reconsidered through the texture of stone, tessera scale, colour and the architectural setting. Conceived toward the end of 2024, KILMOZ continues to develop through physical artworks, architectural surface research and academic study.
